Someone who has come a long way to get to long beach, Kim Tang born in Vietnam, moved here to the united states about 8 years ago. Her fathers relatives and himself wanted better educational opportunities and Kim took it one step further and became a citizen just this last year! Congratulations! Not only does Kim speak English well but she is bilingual and speaks Vietnamese to her parents.
Kim is a sophomore here at California State University, Long Beach. She is studying for Pre-Nursing currently but her plan is to get her Bachelors degree and become an Anesthesia Nurse. This job allows her to be a part of the operating room and give the patients a sleeping drug that also takes away the pain. She is the type of person who likes to handle her own responsibilities that is why she is so hesitant on being a doctor. She likes being a part of the action and after she takes the TEAS test to be a registered nurse she will be enjoying her job of monitoring patients in the surgery room soon enough!
What most people don’t know is that Kim is into crafting! She does crochet and this nifty activity called polymer clay making. her most prized project was crocheting this beautiful scoody which is a thing girls where as a scarf/hoodie. But it doesn’t stop there she also has been making these polymer clay crafts since 8th grade. It was a big trend in Asia and not only did she end up loving it but I also got the chance to see a few of her artistic outcomes.
